Screw Pitch Gauge

If you need to measure a thread pitch on an existing piece or check your threading skills, this is your tool. Line up the piece you are checking with the appropriate thread pitch blade and it's that simple. Gauges have 30 blades, each with a different thread pitch. Inch gauge measures pitches from 4 to 40 and the metric gauge measures pitches from .25 to 3.00 mm.

Tap & Die Set

Save time and blisters - get started straight with this set. The inch set includes taps and dies ranging from 1/2”-20 to 4”-40, 1/8” pipe tap and two wrenches. The metric version includes taps and dies from 3 x .06 mm to 12 x 1.5 mm, 1/8” pipe tap, and two wrenches. Use die holder, item number 46-515 with these dies. Set includes plastic storage cases.

Smithy Tapping Head

If you’re doing a lot of tapping, speed up the process with the Smithy self-feeding tapping head. At the same time, you’ll get a smoother and more accurate tap. The tapping head is self-centering to compensate for .005” hole center misalignment. It mounts into the Smithy millhead with a standard arbor (arbor sold separately). Ultra-sensitive clutch prevents tap breakage. Includes two collets, break-rod and adjustment wrenches. Two sizes available, 46-550 - #6 to 1/2” (3-12mm) capacity, recommended max speed 1500 RPM use with JT33 arbor, and 46-555 - #10 to 3/4” (5-16mm) capacity, recommended max speed 1000 RPM use with JT3 arbor.
